Nursing Home Software
PharmaCal’s NHS, is a standalone software package designed and developed for nursing homes in Ireland. This package operates MAR sheets, EMAR and Kardex, increasing the software’s functionality to Irish firms over other packages available. In addition to these features, NHS provides all other applications including resident management, daily care, risk management and nursing care. The software can also be applied to enquires, assessments, care planning, document management and quality control. Data Transfer System
DTS transcribes patient data to HSE Kardex forms accurately and reliably, allowing for the completion of long forms, short forms and PRN forms. The system also transcribes prescription data to the General Medical Services Prescription Form and operates as an add-on to current software packages. DTS increases productivity and throughput, freeing up staff through workflow efficiencies. It completes prescription forms with accuracy, transcribing patient data from databases to forms, which also help in the elimination of errors, saving time on duplication.

Review and Request
Review and Request facilitates fast and accurate communication between pharmacies and the nursing homes they service. The software provides a quick import and export page, allowing pharmacies to search by client location. The patients at a selected location are listed and pharmacies can email their clients, loading files from their system and attaching them where appropriate. Nursing homes can load the patient data, which include cycle dates and check relevant boxes as per their requirements. Comments can also be added at this point. Once complete, the nursing homes export the file and return it back to the pharmacy so the information can be processed. Review and Request is a simple solution, which helps to clarify information and to increase efficiencies in both the pharmacy and the nursing home involved.

Report Generator
PharmaCal’s Report Generator is a fast and convenient way to generate reports and to meet administrative obligations. The software uses advanced data tools to retrieve information from the pharmacy’s database. This information is then used to compile reports including those on a patient’s medical history for a given time-period and scheme. Through this, the Report Generator can produce up to 15 reports per minute and can increase a pharmacy’s reporting productivity by up to 80%. This saves time and labour cost, while boosting the Pharmacy’s administrative capacity. Cassette Calibration
PharmaCal also provides a cassette calibration service, where old cassettes are recalibrated and used with new pills. Here, pills are measured and matched with old cassettes. Cassette lids are cleaned separately to avoid damaging labels, while the cassettes themselves are sterilised and vacuum cleaned. Old labels can be replaced to include the necessary information and barcodes can be incorporated. PharmaCal also repairs broken cassettes using interchangeable parts, allowing old cassettes parts to be salvaged for re-use. Regular maintenance of cassettes is vital to a successful packing area. Properly maintained cassettes improve efficiency and increase accuracy. Cleaning cassettes avoids cross contamination, while clear cassette labelling helps to prevent errors.
