PX2 De-pouching Machine
The PX2 is an automatic de-pouching and sorting machine. Every year, resources are wasted through manual de-pouching and disposal methods of pharmaceutical pills. Manual de-pouching is slow and costly, given the labour hours involved. The PX2 offers a solution to this through its automatic de-pouching capability, eliminating human error in the sorting process. It has an operational throughput of 2,500 pouches per hour at an average of 4 pills per pouch. It accurately sorts all pharmaceutical pills, ranging in sizes of 1.5mm to 9mm, with a gradient of .25mm. Similarly, it handles packaging with pouch-widths between 40mm and 100mm and can easily accommodate the sorting of loose pills. Pills can also be de-pouched and delivered from the system unsorted for quick and cost effective disposal.

Pouch Inspector
The Pouch Inspector is a fast and accurate, pouch-packaging verification system. This stand-alone inspection machine, which has been developed by BlisterPartner, scans pouches, verifies their content and documents the results for further reference. The system inspects up to 5 pouches per second or 18,000 pouches per hour and operates with a 98% accuracy level. Similarly, its self-learning capability can be used to automatically detect new tablets. Unknown tablets are marked and automatically integrated into the analysis without process interruption. The Pouch Inspector comes standard with BlisterPartner’s Pi Web 3.0 web application which can be controlled using the touchscreen of the Pouch Inspector or from any PC or tablet on the network. To increase the medication-to-patient process efficiency, BlisterPartner’s Cut&Roll machine will separate pouches automatically and works seamlessly with the Pouch Inspector to make the production process even better.

Pouch Winder
The Pouch Winder, which has also been developed by BlisterPartner, allows for the gentle winding of pouch strips with an automatic speed adjustment. This device uses a patented U-sensor to measure the tension of a strip and control the winding speed. The Pouch Winder rolls the pouch strips from a pouch packaging machine onto a reel without creating tension on the strips. This prevents torn strips and creates a pouch roll which can be used with the Pouch Inspector. The Pouch Winder is compatible with all pouch sizes and packaging machines and is available as both a mounted and stand-alone device to increase flexibility. It has a functional, aesthetic and compact design, made with carefully selected materials to make the product easy and pleasant to use.

Karayaburi De-blistering Machine
PharmaCal also distributes the Karayaburi de-blistering machine, designed by JCI. This automated de-blistering device helps staff to remove pills from blister packs and is compatible with both tablets and delicate capsules. The easy to use design allows blister packs to be run through the device, which punches the pills into a container below. These pills can then be repackaged or prepared for disposal. The Karayaburi helps staff to avoid repetitive strain injury and prevents the blister foil from damaging or cutting the hand. As a result, the Karayaburi is suitable for any pharmacy or nursing home that carries out day to day de-blistering and repackaging of pills.
